Handprinted Primrose

This delicate primrose design hand printed on contrasting thick organic rag paper with deckled edges (A6). This design is available in two colour ways: black or green and yellow.

Primrose (Primula Vulgaris) is a classic British hedgerow flower and the birth flower for those born in February. Primroses are noted in various charming superstitions in the British Isles for being beloved of faeries and historically have been planted by doorways to encourage and delight faeries to bless the home, or to keep them from coming inside the house. 

Please note that these are not digital prints. Each print is hand inked and pressed so there can sometimes be a very slight variation in ink and colour density between each one, giving each piece its own unique beauty.
